ENUGU GOES CHOCO LOCO

The Enugu State Government, in partnership with WhiteRabbit Agro limited, has launched a 20-hectare cocoa plantation in Nkanu East to boost cocoa production and processing.

This initiative aligns with Governor Peter Mbah’s vision to grow the state’s GDP to $30 billion. Plans are underway to expand the project to five other LGAs, with each targeting 100 hectares. The private partner is developing 100,000 high-yield cocoa varieties, and farmers are encouraged to participate.

Additionally, ongoing work at Akanu Ibiam International Airport’s cargo section will support cocoa exports. positioning Enugu as a major player in the global cocoa market.
